I recently acquired the gorgeous Ice Cream Big Scoop yarn by Lion Brand and I gotta say, I’m in love. It’s soft but sturdy. The colors are pastel perfection and the transitions are smooth. The parfait colorway instantly reminded me of rainbow sherbet and I just had to make a sweater with it…because alliteration.
Here are some features of this cute sweater:
- works up quick
- light and airy
- no sewing
- flared sleeves
- no color changes
- beginner friendly
- off the shoulder
- simple drop sleeve

Notes
The sweater is worked from the bottom up starting on the front side. A hole is left for the neck and then you work down the back side. Then you slip stitch up most of one side and work one sleeve in rounds, increasing a little at the end to add a cute flair. Repeat this slip stitch side and sleeve on the other side and finish off the neckline with a simple single crochet edging. Lastly, a few increasing rounds are worked on the bottom of the sweater to add some shape and length.
The beginning chain 4 and dc of each round counts as a v st. The last v st will always be worked in the very last v of the last round.
