I have been working on designing a skirt for a while now. I can’t even count how many times I’ve had to frog it. I was going to use this Lacey Ripple Stitch for it. I modified this stitch from The Blue Elephants. Sadly, I finally decided to start over (again) and use a different stitch because this one isn’t very easy to increase and decrease.
But I will definitely be using this stitch in a future project because it is gorgeous and it has that perfect combination of mindlessness and technique. So I decided to share it with you all to see what beautiful creations you can make with it!
The stitch is reversible and each row is worked in the same way, so you don’t have to keep track of what row you are on. This stitch works up quick and would be well suited to a light shawl or a breezy summer blanket.

Instructions
To begin, chain a multiple of 12 + 4
Row 1: Dc 1 in the 5th chain from the hook (ch 4 counts as 1 dc and 1 ch st), ch 1, dc 1, sk 1, dc 2, sk 1, (dc 1, ch 1) x2, dc, *(dc 1, ch 1)x2, dc, sk 1, dc 2, sk 1, (dc 1, ch 1) x2* Repeat * across, dc 1 in the last st.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and 1 ch st), dc 1 in the ch st, ch 1, dc 1 in the ch st, sk 1, dc 2, sk 1, (dc 1 in the ch st, ch 1)x2, dc 1, *dc 1, ch 1, dc 1 in the ch st, ch 1, dc 1 in the ch st, sk 1, dc 2, sk 1, (dc in the ch st, ch 1)x2, dc 1* Repeat * across, dc 1 in the 3rd tch.
Repeat row 2 until you reach the desired length.
